Durga Maa

In this five-class series, we journey with Maa Durga as our guide and charioteer — the fierce, protective Mother who teaches courage, devotion and inner strength.

With Durga’s lion-hearted energy, we explore each asana as a devotional offering. Rather than simply moving through shapes, we seek the feeling place within each posture, then offer that awareness into the inner fire of practice.

Durga is also known as Triyambake, the Three-Eyed Goddess. Her left eye represents desire (the moon), her right eye represents action (the sun), and her central eye represents knowledge (fire). Through practice, we work to balance right and left energies while awakening clarity, vitality and inner power.

When fear or difficulty arises, Durga reminds us of our own bravery. She is the protective force of the Divine Mother, keeping her children safe through challenge and transformation. Yoga teaches us not to be ruled by emotion, but to meet our emotions with awareness, steadiness and courage.

This series is an invitation to move boldly, practice devotionally, and embody your own fearless heart.

Across the five classes, expect:

  •  Dynamic, energising yoga practices inspired by the qualities of Durga Maa
  •  Asana approached as a devotional offering, not just physical practice
  •  Themes of courage, protection, resilience and inner strength
  •  Breathwork and movement to awaken inner fire and focused presence
  •  Opportunities to work skilfully with emotion rather than be led by it
  •  Strong, uplifting classes that build confidence and steadiness
